Kashiwa is a city in north-west Chiba Prefecture. From Tokyo Station, it takes only 40 minutes to get there by train via the Joban Line.
There are a number of big malls in Kashiwa including a Lalaport, Aeon Mall Kashiwa, Aeon Town and Mallage Kashiwa.
Kashiwa is also home to the Kashiwa Reysol football club which plays in Division 1 of the J-League.
