A competitive fireworks event lasting two and a half hours highlighting the newest designs and creations in the world of pyrotechnics.

A low-key community festival in the old district of Yanaka with music and dance, games, a bazaar and more.

Edogawa Citizens Festival

A good event for families, the Edogawa Citizens Festival will host an array of entertainment options including: characters, traditional folk dances, taiko drumming, musical performances, gymnastics, a parade.

Kappabashi Kitchenware Festival

A festival of Tokyo’s Kitchen Town. In additional to selling kitchen-related wares, there will be a sweets festival, parades, a stamp rally and more.

Jiyugaoka Megami Matsuri

This Goddess Festival attracts nearly 500 000 visitors a year. See top Japanese musicians, sip wine, and shop for bargains at the local stalls.

The Setagaya Bread Festival

What’s more deserving of its own festival than bread! Carb all you can at Setagaya Park, where in addition to the market, there is a bread university and live performances all weekend.

Oedo Beer Festival 2018

Craft beer festival with free entry (unlike most other beer festivals in Tokyo). There will be a selection of international and domestic beer with glasses starting at ¥500 a pop.

Hokkaido Fair in Yoyogi

You need not leave Tokyo to savor all the gastronomical goodies that Hokkaido—Japan’s northernmost prefecture—has to offer (including crab, salmon roe, Hokkaido-style ramen and much more). The Hokkaido Fair is four-day food fest at Yoyogi Park with cheapo savings if you get there early.

Enjoy the weekend!
