Lantern Festival
Lunar New Year wraps up with a lantern festival held on the 15th and final day of celebrations. Set your eyes on a display of paper lanterns on which people’s hopes and dreams for the year ahead will be written. Plus lion dances.

A night of pub trivia and prizes all while helping out a good cause.

Hope Quiz Night at Hobgoblin
Another pub trivia night, this one with a special (and belated) Valentine’s Day round. The night’s proceeds go towards helping the neglected poor become self-reliant.

Berlin Party: 6th Anniversary!
Berlin Party is celebrating its 6th anniversary at Shibuya’a Ruby Room. The get down will feature a slew of DJs, free vegan burritos and happy-hour specials.

Some no Komichi – Fabric Dyeing Festival
If you’re of the opinion that indoor art galleries are a little overdone, then we suggest checking out the Some no Komichi festival. In tribute to the dye producers that were common in the area until the 1950s, long brilliantly colored kimono fabrics will be hung by wires above Myoshoji River. It’s a great way to appreciate art, tradition and city all at once.
National Museum of Western Art – Free Admission Day
Check out the extensive permanent collection at the Museum of Western Art in Ueno Park for free. Works include paintings from the late Medieval period through to the 20th century and modern French sculpture.
