Lunar New Year wraps up with a lantern festival held on the 15th and final day of celebrations. Set your eyes on a display of paper lanterns on which people’s hopes and dreams for the year ahead will be written. Plus lion dances.

In tribute to the dye producers that were common in the area until the 1950s, long brilliantly colored kimono fabrics will be hung by wires above Myoshoji River. It’s a great way to appreciate art, tradition and city all at once.

National Museum of Western Art – Free Admission Day
