Jingugaien Itcho Festival

Tokyo English Book Exchange #16
Meet up with fellow bibliophiles for Tokyo Cheapo’s 16th English Book Exchange. Come with at least one book to swap, then grab a drink and mingle. Who knows what printed treasure you might find!
Japan Fisherman’s Festival
Graze on some of the country’s best seafood from over 80 stalls at this outdoor event. Try some Japanese specialties like deep-sea tempura and some international options too.
Tokyo Modular Festival
Now in its seventh year, the Tokyo Modular Festival is an event where modular synth artists, sound designers, engineers, graphic artists and music lovers join forces.
Shibuya Street Dance Week
Love the art of dance? Then Shibuya Street Dance Week event is for you. There will be performances at the main stage at Yoyogi Park, plus dance battles and workshops. And it’s not just for spectators, everyone is welcome to participate, so bring your dancing shoes and your best moves.
Kurimoto Furusato Sweet Potato Festival
Join the residents of Kurimoto in harvesting and roasting sweet potatos, a favorite autumn snack in Japan.
Yabusame at Zushi Beach
One of the few rare chances throughout the year to see the Japanese martial arts of yabusame (horseback archery). Before the yabusame display, there is also a samurai parade starting at Kameoka Shrine and proceeding to Zushi Station.
The American Craft Beer Experience 2019
One for craft beer lovers. Along with some of the more famous imported brands, there will be varieties available that have not previously been available in Japan.
Design Festa Vol. 50 – Fall Edition

Tokyo Vegefood Festa 2019
This event has been canceled for 2019.
If you’ve attempted to eat vegetarian/vegan in Tokyo before, you know how near impossible it is. But luckily there is the Vegefood Festival in Yoyogi Park serving an all-vegan menu, so you can chow down—worry and meat (byproduct) free!
Hachioji Ginkgo Festival
Celebrating the Showa period, this festival takes place along the ginkgo tree–lined streets of Hachioji and features a tour of old inspection stations (sekisho). There is also a vintage car parade with classic cars from the Showa period.
Iga Ueno Ninja Festival in Ueno Park
A ninja-themed family festival with various performances, including singing, dancing, magic shows, and shuriken throwing-star competitions.
Midtown Christmas 2019
A classic Christmas-season staple in the city (yes, Tokyo’s already celebrating—and we love it). Come and see the mesmerizing twinkle of 290,000 digitally controlled LEDs.
Fuji-Kawaguchiko Fall Leaves Festival
This annual fall festival takes place at the famous Maple Corridor near Mt. Fuji. There will be food stalls, local specialties and performances.
Mt. Takao Autumn Leaves Festival
Visit nearby Mt. Takao for the perfect fall day trip. The tree leaves are autumnally clad, plus there will be traditional performances and market stalls throughout the month.
