Let’s all agree that flowers in February are a cause for rejoicing. And rejoice we shall at Kasai Park’s annual Daffodil Festival this Saturday and Sunday, with over 200,000 daffodils to behold. But if flowers aren’t your thing, the festival is equipped to remedy that with concerts, a farmers’ market and the chance to stilt walk (for kids only, sorry!).

Also going down is The 18th Japan Media Arts Festival, which kicked off on Feb 4th and goes until Feb 15th. The festival showcases various aspects of popular media art in Japan, including art, entertainment, manga and animation. You’ll get to ooh and aah over all the creative works that’ll be featured from 71 countries.

If you’re the mushy type, you can get into the pre-Valentine’s Day spirit by taking in the Promenade of Light at Tokyo Dome City. These dazzling illuminations will stay up until Feb 15th.

Suggested Activity
Become a Samurai in Tokyo
Who doesn't want to swing a sword and emulate the warriors of feudal Japan? Experience being a samurai for yourself in one of the coolest activities in Tokyo. During your intimate lesson, you’ll get to dress up in a samurai outfit and train with a traditional katana (single-edged samurai sword)!

Not to sound like a broken record but the NHK’s Museum of Broadcasting is still open for its last display of 2015, and we still recommend that you check it out. Incidentally, a broken record is what you might see when you visit since all the original equipment (from when it opened in 1925) will be on display.
