Sure, summer’s over. But that doesn’t mean the fun went with it. This weekend has got a few festivals to help you start the new season off right.

First, check out the ASEAN Festival at Yoyogi Park this Saturday and Sunday where you can migrate from booth to booth grazing on various Southeast Asian cuisines. Plus, the different countries will get a chance to show off their stuff through cultural and musical performances at the Events Square.

For some fun on Tokyo’s eastside, head to Kiba Park for the Yosakoi Oedo Soran Festival—an event where 45 dance teams battle it out for top spot.  It’s free to watch and goes from 9:30-17:00 on Sunday.

Suggested Activity
Get Tickets To the Samurai Restaurant in Shinjuku [10% OFF]
Experience one of the craziest, most colorful places in Tokyo — the all-new Samurai Restaurant, from the creators of the Robot Restaurant. Get your tickets and sit back for a wild show of lasers, lights, samurai, dancers and other uniquely Japanese weirdness. ...

And we’ve saved the best for last. There’s free fish in it for you if you head to Meguro for the 20th annual Meguro Sanma Matsuri. To ring in the new season, 6000 sanma will be grilled up and given away to those willing to stand in a long-ass queue—but, hey, it’s free, so get there early and satiate your cheapness.

Happy Weekend!
