The name says it all – this capsule hotel is priced at 1980 yen a night (excluding consumption tax). It’s clean, simple and a practical solution if you need a place to stay. While not the most modern of capsule hotels, the rate can’t be beat.
The website says that it is a “real cheap hotel” that was created to be a”comfortable place for temporary rest”.
There are lockers for you to stash your stuff, as well as a luggage storage service, so you can … rest in peace (come on, we had to – it totally looks like a morgue). All sleeping pods have TVs and there is free wifi, a coin bath and free showers. Towels and soap are supplied. There is also a fax machine. Because Japan is still stuck in the 1950s in some ways.
The hostel is close to Ueno, making it a good spot for exploring the rest of Tokyo.
One downside – at the time of writing this, it seemed that all pods were for men only.
