An all-new Pokémon attraction is coming to Tokyo in 2026 — PokéPark Kanto. In early February, it will open as part of the Yomiuriland amusement park, about 30 minutes from Shinjuku.
The Pokémon Company first dropped the big news during its “Pokémon Presents” broadcast on July 22, 2025. Then, in November 2025, they announced that the grand opening would take place earlier than expected, on February 5, 2026.
PokéPark Kanto is significant, as it will be the franchise’s first permanent outdoor facility in the world.

Facilities
Located within a dedicated 2.6-hectare area of Yomiuriland, the new Pokémon park will offer an immersive experience for fans of all ages. PokéPark Kanto will house more than 600 Pokémon across two main themed areas:
Pokémon Forest
A varied natural environment where visitors can observe Pokémon in habitats inspired by their in-game ecosystems.
Kayatsuri Town
A Pokémon-themed town with a Pokémon Center, a Gym, interactive parades and greeting experiences with Pokémon characters, two themed rides, and a merchandise-filled Trainer’s Market.
