Odaiba Rainbow Fireworks (Dec 9): See a grand fireworks show every Saturday night throughout December. The fireworks will go off between Odaiba and the Rainbow Bridge from 19:00-19:10. Makes for a good date night!
Japanese Antique Market (Dec 9): This monthly antique market at Yoyogi Park is back with aims to educate people on Japanese culture and art, while creating an opportunity for locals to sell their antique goods. A great spot to practice your Japanese and/or pick up some souvenirs!
Sekino Boroichi Market (Dec 9-10): This evening-time winter market is a great spot to peruse stalls, pick up antique souvenirs or just grab some toasty festival food on a chilly night. This market boasts over 300 stalls and over 80,000 visitors.
National Museum of Western Art – Free Admission Day (Dec 9): This Saturday, check out the extensive permanent collection at the Museum of Western Art in Ueno Park for free! Works includes paintings from the late medieval period through to the 20th century and modern French sculpture. Artists include Ruebens, Renoir, Monet, Van Gogh, Picasso, Pollock and many more.
Christmas Illuminations: Take in the Christmas season with your pick of light-up festivals taking place all over Tokyo.
