A concrete reproduction of the wooden castle that stood here from the 17th to the 19th century, before being dismantled at the beginning of the Meiji Restoration.

While the main building is of reinforced concrete, many of the gates and outer buildings have been rebuilt using traditional construction techniques.

Admission prices are a little complicated, with different prices for different parts of the complex. The different parts are the Tokiwagi Samurai Museum, the Ninja Museum and the Main Keep. Separately, for adults, they are priced at ¥200, ¥310, and ¥510 respectively, with various joint tickets providing better overall value.
