From October 26 to October 30 at Tsurugaoka Hachimangū in Kamakura, a special Motanka Exhibition will be held to support the children of Ukraine.
A motanka is a traditional Ukrainian guardian doll and amulet that has traditionally been passed down through generations to protect and bring hope.
What happens?
More than 100 motanka artists from Ukraine, Argentina, Brazil, France, Portugal, and Poland will come together and display their own special motanka doll, each with their own story and meaning.
“Healing together through art. From heart to heart.”
How to get there
The exhibition will be held on the second floor of the meeting hall Naoraiden at Tsurugaoka Hachimangū in Kamakura. It is labelled as 26 on this map.
