Tokyo Artisan Exhibition brings together some of Tokyo’s finest young traditional craftspeople.
What to expect
Over almost two weeks, the 13th iteration of Tokyo Artisan Exhibition will feature live demonstrations, group workshops, and exhibitions of the works of some of the capital’s best up-and-coming artisans. Each day will feature a new demonstration of handy crafts, including traditional ceramics, embroidery, woodblock printing, doll-making, and much more. In addition to the demonstrations, visitors are invited to sign up for hands-on workshops in your chosen field, each lasting 30–60 minutes several times each day.
Stalls featuring handmade goods will also be available throughout the event so you can take some of your favorite pieces home with you.
Entry
Entry to the event is free, but participation in workshops is charged.
Schedule
The event runs from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. each day except August 15, when it opens at midday and August 28, when it closes at 6 p.m.
