Neon Genesis Evangelion celebrates its 30th anniversary this year and, as part of the celebrations, Tokyo City View will host an exhibition featuring original animation cels and never-before-seen illustrations and digital production materials.
What to expect
The groundbreaking originality, complexity, and insanely catchy intro music of Evangelion has made it one of anime’s most enduring franchises of the last three decades. Throughout the original television series of the mid-to-late 90s and more recent film adaptations, it has garnered, captivated, confused, and depressed a legion of fans worldwide and continues to do so for younger generations.
From November 2025 until January 2026, All of Evangelion will showcase franchise-spanning artwork from the TV series and films. The exhibition, held on the 52nd floor of Roppongi Hills Mori Tower, will feature colored animation cels as well as hand-drawn concept illustrations from the original series. On top of that, for the first time, digital production materials from the films will be made available for viewing.
