What to expect
The festival, organized by the local community, has been running since 1995. Public stages are organised along the main tree-lined street near Asagaya station, and satellite events, pop-up performances, and parades happen in streets, schools, churches, cafés, shrines, and music venues throughout the town.
The public program has around 40 performances scheduled across 10 stages over the two days, while the satellite program has around 200 more at around 60 venues throughout the neighborhood, ranging from dixieland to spoken word poetry, jazz piano, big band, improvised performances, American, modern, gospel, discussion panels, and more.
Tickets
Public stages cost between ¥2,000 to ¥4,000 per stage for advance tickets or ¥2,500 to ¥5,000 on the day. Entry to the satellite stages may differ depending on the event.
