燈籠流是一個傳統，在盂蘭盆節期間將點亮蠟燭的燈籠放在河上，引導先人的靈魂返去彼岸。
2,500盞寫有心意的燈籠會在下午6:30由隅田川東岸（淺草站一側，不是晴空塔一側）的斜坡滑入水中，位置在吾妻橋同言問橋之間。
