Eno Film Screenings in Tokyo

¥4,500 – ¥6,500

Eno, one of the most discussed films from the Sundance Film Festival 2024, is making its way to Japan.

The documentary, directed by Gary Hustwit (Helvetica, Rams), is the world’s first generative film and chronicles the life of producer and artist Brian Eno. Using groundbreaking editing technology, the film changes with each screening, presenting a unique version to each new audience.

What to expect

In addition to founding Roxy Music, Brian Eno has collaborated with some of history’s most influential artists, including Talking Heads, U2, and David Bowie. Over his 50-year career, he has helped shape music as we know it and continues to push boundaries in music and visual art today. Eno features decades of archival footage, music, and interviews, unpacking his impact on global art and the importance of creativity. The film’s first screening in Tokyo will be the film’s Asian premiere.

“Much of Brian’s career has been about enabling creativity in himself and others,” Hustwit says. “What I’m trying to do is to create a cinematic experience that’s as innovative as Brian’s approach to music and art.”
