What to expect
Looking to broaden your Japanese conversations beyond the weather and movies? This class takes your conversation to a deeper level, helping you to express your thoughts and feelings on topics such as work culture, gender roles, aging society, and technology.
In this 90-minute class, you will:
- Read and analyze short articles about social issues in Japan
- Learn key expressions for debate and discussion
- Practice expressing opinions naturally and logically
- Share your own thoughts and experiences in Japanese
Through authentic materials and guided discussion, you’ll learn how to express opinions, agree or disagree politely, and build logical arguments in Japanese. This class is recommended for those who already have an intermediate to advanced grasp of daily conversation and want to improve their fluency and critical thinking, are aiming to take the JLPT N1 or N2 exam, or just enjoy discussing cultural and social topics.
Organizers have prepared the materials; please bring a pen and a notebook with you.
