Hula, ukulele, malasadas, and more. Get swept up in Hawaiian vibes at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse this summer.
What happens?

Set against the backdrop of the iconic Red Brick Warehouse, this festival celebrates the deep ties between Hawaii and Yokohama, stretching back to King Kalākaua’s 1881 visit and shaped by decades of migration and cultural exchange.
Across four days, you’ll find live hula and ukulele performances, including appearances by celebrated local dancer and guest artist Hitomi Shimatani, who’ll debut the festival’s official theme song, “FUN! ALOHA!”
Expect over 40 performances, workshops, and interactive demonstrations from Saturday through Monday. The event grounds will feature a Hawaiian market with resort fashion, handmade goods, and island-style accessories, plus food trucks serving garlic shrimp, malasadas, poke bowls, and Hawaiian craft beer. Look out for lei-making workshops, ukulele lessons, body painting, sun-catcher crafting, and Hawaiian tarot readings.
Schedule 2025
Hitomi Shimatani will perform the theme song at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 19.
