Asakusa is one of the six districts in the Tokyo area where geisha — traditional performers skilled in music, dance, and conversation — still entertain.
The annual Ozashiki Odori features seasonal music and dance performances.
If you’re keen to see geisha while in Tokyo, this is the real deal!
Schedule 2026
The 2026 performances run on selected Saturdays from April to November at the Asakusa Culture and Tourism Center, 6th-floor multipurpose space.
Confirmed dates include June 20, July 4 and July 11.
There are two performances per day. Part 1 opens at 12:30 p.m. and starts at 1 p.m.; Part 2 opens at 2 p.m. and starts at 2:30 p.m.
Tickets 2026
Standard seats cost ¥5,000, and premium seats cost ¥6,000. Premium seats include front two-row center seating and a commemorative photo with the performers after the show. All seats are cushion seats.
Universal seating is available for wheelchair users or anyone who needs a regular chair. Wheelchair users are asked to call 03-3842-5566 by the day before their visit after purchasing tickets.
