What to expect

The theme for this year is “the fusion of coffee and Ginza”. Notably, this year, an advisory team has helped plan the festival from a specialty coffee and café culture perspective, ensuring you receive the best insider knowledge.

Suggested Activity
Challenge Sumo Wrestlers and Enjoy Lunch
Eat, train, and fight like a real Japanese sumo wrestler during this sumo demonstration and authentic 'Chanko Nabe' (hotpot) meal.

Kasuya himself will provide such advice, with the aim of “bringing Japanese coffee to a city like Ginza”. He goes on to say that “coffee is not just a matter of technique; it is something that is born from an overlapping of culture and emotion,” something that will be showcased at the festival.

As well as tasting some great coffee, you can learn more about some of Japan’s most popular coffee specialists. You can also see live demonstrations of special brewing techniques. There will also be local vendors serving sweet and savory treats, with emphasis on the sweet.

There is also a tasting session, which requires a separate ticket.

Note: entry to the venue may become restricted.

Entry

On February 16, 21, 22, and 23, numbered entry tickets will be distributed to those lining up at the subway exit on the first basement floor of the Ginza Mitsukoshi Main Building. After doors open, admission tickets will be handed out at the Ginza Terrace on the 9th floor of the Ginza Mitsukoshi New building.

From February 17 to 20, numbered entry tickets may be handed out depending on attendance. Organizers will announce their plans via X the night before each event day.

How to get there

The event will be held at the Ginza Mitsukoshi New Building, 7th Floor Event Hall. To get there, you can either take the Ginza, Marunouchi, or Hibiya Line to Ginza Station and then walk 1-minute. If you are coming from the Yurakucho Line, it is a 5-minute walk.

Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
