Godzilla is coming for Enoshima.
What to expect
What would happen if the King of the Monsters showed up off the coast of Fujisawa? This is your chance to imagine it.
Godzilla vs. Enoshima – The Great Enoshima Aquarium Monster Battle takes over not just the aquarium but the entire island, with monsters cropping up everywhere from the Sea Candle and Samuel Cocking Garden to Enoshima Shrine and the coastal caves.
Here’s the storyline: strange creatures have appeared in the waters around Enoshima, transforming the local ecosystem and sending the Enosawa Monster Research Institute into overdrive. Visitors become part of the investigation, searching for monsters across nine locations, collecting stamps and hidden messages, and unravelling the mystery.

Highlights
Look out for a 15-metre Godzilla footprint by the aquarium entrance, special exhibits exploring the real-life creatures that inspired kaiju design, and even a Mechagodzilla-themed Shōnan Monorail train. Inside, a limited-time Halloween display and Godzilla-inspired tanks introduce you to horseshoe crabs, frilled sharks and other ancient oddities.
Around the island, you’ll encounter panels, overprint art stations, themed snacks (black vs. red pies, anyone?), and exclusive event merchandise.
Local legend gets a monstrous makeover with artist Shinji Nishikawa’s new illustration of Ejima Engi’s mythical five-headed dragon, a creature appearing alongside favourites like Mothra, Biollante, and King Ghidorah.

Schedule 2025
The first half runs from October 4–26, with appearances from classic kaiju like Godzilla, Mecha King Ghidorah, and the legendary five-headed dragon from the Ejima Engi scroll. The second half, from October 27–November 17, switches things up with a new line-up, including 2016-era Godzilla, Biollante, and Mothra, along with fresh bonus cards and stamp rally missions.
Throughout both phases, you’ll find different monsters lurking at nine locations around Enoshima Island and the aquarium.
Some special exhibits and Halloween tie-ins, like the electric eel “monster” display, will only run through October 31, while the Mechagodzilla-wrapped Shōnan Monorail operates for the entire duration.
