A volleyball manga that finished serializing in 2020 is taking over the 52nd floor of Roppongi Hills for ten weeks, which tells you most of what you need to know about how hard Haikyu!! landed. Challengers is built around Haruichi Furudate’s original manuscript pages — the inked pages themselves — and it runs straight through the winter travel season.
What to expect
The organizers have framed the show around the climb: how the characters keep going after losses, told through Shōyō Hinata and Tobio Kageyama’s growth across the series. Alongside the original manuscript pages there are new illustrations drawn by Furudate specifically for the exhibition, and every visitor is given a randomly assigned character Player Card on the way in.
The run is split into two ticketed halves — the first to November 30, the second from December 1. The organizers haven’t published what changes between them, so if there’s a particular arc you care about, watch the official site before you lock in a date.
Schedule
The exhibition runs October 30, 2026 to January 11, 2027, open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with last entry at 7:30 p.m. There are no closed days across the entire run, New Year included — which is genuinely unusual for a Tokyo gallery, and worth knowing if you’re here in that dead week when half the city shuts.
Tickets 2026
General admission is ¥2,200, high school students ¥1,400, and elementary and junior high school students ¥900. There’s also a limited ¥4,400 ticket bundled with goods.
The mechanics matter more than the price here. Entry is by designated date and time, tickets are sold through eplus only, and there is no ticket counter at the venue — you cannot turn up and buy your way in. First-come sales for the second half open on November 14 at 10 a.m.
