What to expect
On Tuesday, December 31, 2024, from 10 p.m. till just after midnight, join the party in front of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. Experience projection mapping, DJs, a taiko drum performance, and digital votive tablets (ema) containing wishes for the new year. There will also be food trucks around the venue.

Entry to the event is free, but you’ll need to register in advance to participate (deadline: December 9).
How to get there
The event takes place at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office’s Civic Plaza, around a 10-minute walk from Shinjuku Station or 1 minute from Tochomae Station. It’s right in front of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.
