Experience Japanese culture, learn some martial arts skills, and support a good cause at this charity karate class in Shinjuku City.
What to expect
A third-dan karate instructor with over 20 years of experience will run you through the basics of karate movements, techniques, and principles.
Delivered in English, the 1.5-hour class is designed for beginners and will provide unique insight into one of Japan’s most recognizable martial arts forms.
On top of that, you’ll have the chance to meet new people and support a meaningful cause in a welcoming, inclusive environment.
All proceeds will be donated to Nippon Kakekomidera, a nonprofit support organization active in domestic violence, bullying, and homelessness consultation as well as Kabukichō street cleanups, youth outreach services, and a variety of other community activites. The event will feature a talk by the charity’s director, during which attendees can learn about their mission and how to get involved.
