See a wonderful display of colors in the sky at the 72nd Kumagaya Fireworks Festival. Taking place on August 10, this is one of the most popular fireworks festivals in Saitama.

Around 420,000 spectators will all be watching the unbelievable sight of 10,000 fireworks.
Tickets
To enjoy the fireworks up close, you can get a paid seat. These range in price from ¥6,000 for individual seats to ¥36,000 for seating for four people. You can purchase these paid seats online or through 7-Eleven.
Where can I see the fireworks for free?
There will be a free area near the paid seats, but get here early as spots fill up fast. Free spots father afield include Kugebashi Bridge (10-minute bus from Kumagaya).
How to get there
This fireworks display is near the Arakawa Riverbank (downstream of Arakawa Ohashi Bridge). The best way to get here is by taking the JR Takasaki Line to Kumagaya Station and then walking up to 5 minutes.
