Job hunting, but not sure where to start in putting together your Japanese resume or CV? Head to this class in Akihabara to get the inside scoop.
What to expect
Job hunting in Japan can be tricky, especially if you’ve never written a Japanese-style rirekisho or shokumu keirekisho before. Writing in correct Japanese is one thing, but being able to write the kind of compelling info that a prospective employer will expect and take notice of is a whole other ballgame.
In this 90-minute class, you’ll learn what kind of work experience to mention, in what order, and the kind of language you should use to make sure your resume meets expectations. You’ll also learn how to write self-introductions, reasons for applying, and get some advice on recommended phrases and examples of what to avoid.
Staff will prepare the materials for class. Just bring a pen and a notebook.
Who this class is for
This class is recommended for those currently job searching or considering changing jobs, but lack experience writing a Japanese resume or CV. It’s aimed at those who have an advanced understanding of Japanese — JLPT N2 level or above — who can communicate in daily life and at work in Japanese, and those who want to improve their business Japanese reading and writing.
