Machida Tenmangu Antique Fair

7:00am – 4:00pm
Free

This is a vibey and popular but fairly small market, with around 120 vendors selling Japanese antiques, as well as kimono, tableware, furniture and decor from decades past, and all manner of other stuff you might expect to find at a flea market in Japan. It is especially good for Showa-era retro goods like children’s books, illustrations and toys.

This market is held come rain or shine in the grounds of Machida Tenmangu Shrine on the 1st of every month, except for January and November.

The shrine is popular among students seeking a spot of divine intervention in their exams.

Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
