What to expect

The pottery town of Mashiko in Tochigi Prefecture hosts a ceramics fair that draws over half a million visitors each spring and autumn. This event is its Tokyo edition.

At the Mashiko Pottery Fair at Yebisu Garden Place, more than 60 kilns and artists will be showcasing everything from rustic Mashiko ware or Mashiko-yaki, known for its chunky shapes and warm glazes, to contemporary tableware and one-of-a-kind decorative pieces.
