Midtown has always been the go-to stop for long days in Roppongi and its surrounding areas. But during Golden Week, make that stop a time to shop, as Midtown opens the park.
What to expect
The central park area of Tokyo Midtown will have added spark over Golden Week. While usually a peaceful area to just relax, Midtown will offer picnic blankets and tables for you to take a breather over a sandwich and a drink. If you’re more of a night owl, there’ll be LED lights scattered throughout the garden.

There’ll also be a variety of markets across the event days. If you know your ales and IPAs, stop by the craft beer market on May 4 and 5. More arts and crafts minded? The Japan Craship Park will have handmade products from across the country for sale from May 9 to 11. And if you’d rather do instead of buy, don’t miss the yoga and fitness exercise classes — reserve online to snag a spot.
