Mecha fans have plenty to be excited about with the new season of Mobile Suit Gundam. Not only are the two titans of mecha in Evangelion and Gundam combining, but now you can be in the middle of it all. Just head to the Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX Exhibition.
What to expect
Fans have been enthralled with the new season of Mobile Suit Gundam, and it’s not hard to see why. It’s the first collaboration between the Gundam crew and the makers of Neon Genesis Evangelion, so there’s high hope for a mecha masterpiece. To give fans a chance to get close to the action, the Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX Exhibition is packed with art and set pieces from the show.
As you head through the exhibit, you’ll get to pose in front of iconic scenes. There’ll be full sets and photo spots putting you right in the middle of things. And if you want more, the AR photo corner will create motifs and decals just for you. Also, there’ll be unique production and behind-the-scenes goodies like scripts and original artwork to pore over.
How to get there
The event will be held at Anime Tokyo Station, which despite its name, is close to Ikebukuro Station. You can get there by taking any of the JR or Tokyo Metro Lines that lead to Ikebukuro Station. After that, it’s a 4-minute hop to the building, and the exhibit is on 2F.
