A dance festival held every two years in Shinagawa.

What happens

The Nakanobu Yosakoi Festival brings together traditional dance troops from around the country for a biannual celebration of regional dance performances, food, and fun.

This year, the festival celebrates its ninth installment with established regional dance troops, brass bands, and instrumental performances as well as student groups from surrounding schools, youth centers, and dance studios.

The daytime session takes place around Nakanobu Shopping Street (Nakanobu Skip Road), and the nighttime session will be held from Showa-dori Shopping District to Nakanobu Shopping District with four performances per block.

  • 12 p.m.— 6 p.m. – Food fair
  • 4:50 p.m.— 7:45 p.m. – Evening dance sessions

How to get there

Nakanobu Skip Road is around a 2-minute walk from Nakanobu Station on the Asakusa and Ōimachi lines or a 7-minute walk from Ebara-Nakanobu Station on the Ikegami Line.
