What to expect
Got a thing for Vikings? This casual festival features Nordic cuisine, Viking-themed jewelry and textiles, free armor demonstrations, and special talks on Norse mythology and Swedish history by experts from the Japan Viking Society and Swedish Embassy.
Schedule
The fair runs from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on May 5, and from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. on May 6.
There will also be special talks on Norse mythology and Swedish history.
On May 4 and 5, the Swedish history talk starts at 4:30 p.m., and the Norse mythology talk starts at 7:30 p.m.
How to get there
The venue is The Old Arrow (Basement 1, Miyama Building), located in the neighborhood of Nishi-Ogikubo. From Shinjuku Station, take the JR Chuo Line (rapid or local) toward Takao, heading west approximately 8 minutes to Nishi-Ogikubo Station. Exit and walk 2 minutes north to the venue. Alternatively, take the JR Chuo Line local train for a slightly longer journey with more frequent stops.
