Taking place for the second time this odori matsuri (dance festival) is held to celebrate the area of Oku Asakusa.
It will take place in Sanyabori Square in Sumida Park, near Taito Riverside Sports Center.
What to expect
The main event will be a traditional Japanese dance called Bon Odori. Dancers and festival goers will dance in a circle around a special lantern-laden scaffold called a yagura. As well as the dance, there will be food stalls and drum performances.
Schedule
Food stalls will be open from 2 p.m. and there will be entertainment throughout the day before the Bon Odori starts at 6 p.m. Check their social media for updates.
