Travel to Yamagata without leaving Tokyo.
What to expect
Ōyama Sake Brewery Fest brings together sake from the Ōyama area of Tsuruoka City, Yamagata, a long-established brewing district known for its clean-tasting, food-friendly styles. You’ll be able to sample each brewery’s recommended new sake and limited-edition bottles, along with local snacks chosen to pair well with sake.
The event is a casual tasting rather than a sit-down seminar, with time to move between booths and speak directly with brewery staff. Soft drinks from Yamagata producers are also available, and there will be light MC-ing and performances throughout the day.
Schedule
The event is split into four sessions:
- 11 a.m. to 12:50 p.m.
- 1 to 2:50 p.m.
- 3 to 4 p.m.
- 5 to 7 p.m.
