The intersection of iconic Pokémon characters and traditional Japanese crafts.
What to expect
The familiar faces of Pokémon characters have been turned into unique, one-of-a-kind works of art by artisans from all over Japan. Tableware, sculptures and even kimonos will be on display, decorated with the unique creatures that have captivated audiences for decades.
There will be around 80 pieces on display, including a pottery Venusaur, an arabesque Shaymin, and a metalwork Jolteon. The exhibition will also have a gift shop featuring exclusive goods by craft artists, a cafe serving up exclusive drinks and food as well as special events including stamp rallies and tea ceremonies — if you’re lucky you may even spot a Pikachu mascot in a kimono.
Schedule 2024
The exhibition runs from Friday, November 1, 2024 to Sunday, February 2, 2025.
