A one-day festival spotlighting the artists, makers, and musicians who bring new textures to Tokyo’s creative scene.
What to expect
SentoSensations is an annual event taking place at Denki-yu bathhouse in Sumida, hosted by Tokyo-based Canadian beatmaker Demsky and independent print publication sankaku. Now in its fourth year, the 2025 edition returns to Denki-yu to celebrate two milestones.
The first is the release of a new album from Demsky entitled Jugaad. The album marks a return to the ambient and downtempo soundscapes that have garnered him acclaim and festival invitations across Europe and Asia. Demsky will be joining a stacked lineup of artists and DJs for a live performance during the event.
The second milestone to celebrate is the (belated) official launch of sankaku’s third volume, GODS. Technically released last year, the event will be an opportunity to formally welcome it into the world and maybe get your hands on a limited-edition hardcover.
On top of that, SentoSensations will feature an exhibition by Singaporean textile artist Stacy Tan, discussion panels on community and independent publishing, DJs and electronic artists, a Thai food truck, and heaps more.
