The Setagaya Firefly Festival and White Egret Flower Market is a family-friendly summer tradition held on Boroichi Street.
What happens?
The most popular event is the chance to see fireflies while walking through a dark, enclosed dome. Be prepared for long lines, and you’ll be asked to keep moving — but it is free to see. There will also be a flower exhibition featuring white egret flowers, a species of orchid that resembles a heron.
Schedule 2025
The event takes place on July 19 and 20. From June 28 to July 27, there will be an exhibition of drawings, as well as explanations of the life cycle of fireflies.
Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
