What scares you? This Shibuya exhibition doesn’t offer cheap jump-scares or campy gore, but you may leave feeling more than a little creeped out.
What to expect
The Fear explores the subtle, creeping discomfort hidden in sharp edges, confined spaces, strange gazes, and even abstract concepts like time, nostalgia, and happiness.
Split into four themed zones, the show blends photography, sound, scent, and installation to immerse you in fears both familiar and unexpected. You may find yourself amid a sea of headless dolls or forced to confront a pile of soiled tatami.
There are also plenty of photo spots and hidden exhibits to discover along the way.

Schedule
The show runs from July 18 to August 31, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Note that last entry is 30 minutes before closing time (7:30 p.m.).

Tickets cost ¥2,300 (elementary school age and up), and can be purchased online through Lawson Ticket and Ticket Pia via the official website.
