Shibuya is putting on its festive finery.
What happens?
Shibuya Scramble Square lights up with the theme “all kinds of love sparkle”.
At the top of the building, Shibuya Sky hosts Sparkling View, a light and sound installation by artist evala that incorporates LED lights and drifting soap bubbles. Inside the Sky Gallery, hundreds of mirrored balloons scatter light across the glass corridors.
Every 30 minutes after 7 p.m., the Sparkling Light Tree creates a fleeting, snow-like effect above the city. It’s a snowy Christmas after all.
Other highlights
The 12th floor features a small festive area with SAKEKOTOBAR, a limited-time pop-up offering themed cocktails, and a free photo booth framed like a giant gift box.
On December 13, the Scramble Music Show brings live acts and DJs to the same space.
