Starry colors, cosmic motifs, and lighting effects synced to music — there’s all that and more at the Shinagawa Season Terrace Illuminations.
What happens?
The main showstopper is the Grand Staircase, where RGB lights ripple and change color in sync with Christmas music. Over at the Canal Plaza, water, light, and laser effects overlap to create a shimmering, sci-fi-tinged night scene.
Running alongside the illumination is KŌNAN XR – Touch the City, an extended-reality experience that layers virtual effects over the real displays. There’s also a new Kōnan Walking Map that links nearby illumination and festive spots.

How to get there
The venue, Shinagawa Season Terrace, is located about six minutes on foot from the Konan exit of Shinagawa Station.
