For one summer night, the banks of the Sagami River light up with booms, crackles, and hisses.
What happens?
3,000 fireworks paint the sky in a blaze of color at this fireworks festival, just a little over an hour away from Shibuya.
Expect a parade of glittering star mines — this is pyrotechnic artistry at its finest.

While the fireworks are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., the venue will open two hours earlier, at 5 p.m.
In case of bad weather, the event will be postponed to Sunday, August 24.
