This July, from the people who brought you the popular Tokyo Night Market, comes the newest addition to Tokyo’s market scene, Star and Sun Market.
What to expect
Star and Sun Market will take place on the Harajuku side of Zelkova Avenue in Shibuya, near the Tokyo Night Market location. As expected from the organizers of Tokyo’s trendiest market event, Star and Sun will feature all the usual hits like Tokyo’s best food trucks, live music, DJs, clothing and knick-knack stalls, and street performers.
On top of that, Star and Sun is set to feature some seasonally appropriate points of difference to TNM, including Bon Odori and Awa Odori dance parades.
Schedule
Star and Sun will run from Wednesday, July 2, until Sunday, July 6. On weekdays, the event will kick off at 4 p.m. and run til 10 p.m. On Saturday, July 5, and Sunday, July 6, it’ll open at 2 p.m. and finish at 10 p.m.
How to get there
The Harajuku side of Zelkova Avenue is a roughly 10-minute walk from Meiji-Jingumae “Harajuku” Station on the Chiyoda lLine, or JR Harajuku or Shibuya stations.
