What to expect
Tanabata is a traditional Japanese festival that comes from the story of two star-crossed lovers meeting on the Milky Way every year. It is time to write your wish on a strip of paper and tie it to a piece of bamboo.
At Sanrio Puroland, there will be light blue decorative elements inspired by the Milky Way, special shows, character greetings, and exclusive food and merchandise.
Highlights include a 10-minute special projection at Puro Village (1F) featuring Hello Kitty.
Tickets
A Passport Ticket to Sanrio Puroland covers admission and access to all attractions. It should be purchased in advance online, where you’ll get the best price. Prices are seasonal, ranging from ¥3,600 to ¥4,900 for adults (and ¥2,500–¥3,800 for children), but we’ve seen tickets online for as low as ¥2,800.
