teamLab Borderless’s special exhibition, On the Asymmetry of the Universe, uses light, mirrors, and color to play with your sense of space. It introduces two new series: Asymmetric Existence, where sculptures appear either in the real space or in the mirror, but never both, and Chromatic Existence, where flowing color gradually forms the artwork itself.
What happens?
The exhibition is included with standard admission to teamLab Borderless, so no separate ticket is needed.
Inside the Light Sculpture – Flow area, move through immersive digital works that shift with your surroundings and respond to movement.

Expect reflections, changing colors, and light sculptures that make it difficult to tell where the artwork ends and the space begins. Because the works react to you, the experience feels slightly different each time.
Pro tip: See our full teamLab Borderless guide for venue details, access info, and tips for visiting.
