Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends Festival

9:30am – 4:30pm
¥1,100 (advance sales)¥1,300 (at the door)

Spend a day immersed in the world of Thomas the Tank Engine and friends with your little ones. Held in Ikebukuro’s Sunshine City, this event runs for the whole of the second half of July. With a ‘world tour’ theme to the exhibit, you can watch your kids run through Asia, Africa, America, and all the way back to Thomas’ home in the UK.

What should I expect?

This exhibition is heavily aimed at toddlers and babies, so expect simple play spaces and activities for mild thrills. You can take photos with Thomas and his friends in a variety of dioramas or play in an Australian water area.

There’s also a separate ‘Attraction Zone’ you can access with a second ticket with even more activities. Here, your little ones can ride train rides, find their way through a fluffy train maze, and play with models of Thomas. If you’re looking for more hands-on activities, this is the zone for you.
