Tokyo City Pop Fireworks

7:30pm – 8:40pm
¥5,000 – ¥50,000

Watch fireworks while vibing to nostalgic J-pop tunes at the Tokyo City Pop Fireworks.

This display celebrates 70 years since the establishment of Fuchu City. Doors open at 5 p.m.

What happens

Every year, this large-scale fireworks event has a different theme. As the name suggests, this year’s theme is city pop — a Japanese genre of music from the 1970s and 1980s. Songs by famous artists, like Mariya Takeuchi, Tatsuro Yamashita, and Taeko Onuki, will play whilst the fireworks are launched.

Expect to see fireworks of all colors, shapes, and sizes, as well as some cutting-edge technology. Add this vibrant and nostalgic display to your summer schedule.

Tickets

Prices for tickets vary depending on the seat type and number of guests. They start at ¥5,000 for Fuchu citizens and go up to ¥50,000 for a premium group seat for four people. The more reasonably-priced tickets are Seat Ticket A, ¥7,700, and Seat Ticket S, ¥8,800.

Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Buy them on Ticket Pia.
