Thought analog gaming was dead? Think again — Game Market brings together indie creators, veteran designers, and tabletop devotees for a sprawling two-day convention.
What happens?
Game Market is a biannual convention where board game lovers of all stripes — from hardcore RPGers to families — gather to play, shop, and connect. Expect well over a thousand booths (the spring 2026 edition had 1,322) featuring everything from indie-designed card games to international board game hits, plus demos, accessories, and real-life mystery games.
Schedule
Game Market is held twice a year in spring and autumn. The autumn 2026 edition runs on Saturday, October 17 (11 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and Sunday, October 18 (11 a.m. to 5 p.m.) in Halls 1–5 of Makuhari Messe, about a five-minute walk from Kaihin-Makuhari Station on the JR Keiyō Line.
Tickets 2026
Advance tickets cost ¥1,500 for either day, or ¥2,000 in cash at the door. On Saturday, a ¥3,000 early-entry ticket gets you in at 11 a.m., an hour ahead of standard entry.
High school students and younger get in free with student ID (from noon on Saturday and from 11 a.m. on Sunday), and elementary school kids are free with a guardian. The exception is Saturday’s 11 a.m. early entry, where everyone except preschoolers needs their own early-entry ticket.
