Tokyo Streets will hold their latest exhibition at Hibiya Okuroji, near Ginza in Chiyoda, Tokyo.

What to expect

Based in Shibuya, Tokyo Streets is a popular and long-running photography platform and exhibition series showcasing some of the best street photography of Tokyo and its surrounds.

The events showcase the work of local and international photographers and their different takes on street- and documentary-style photography with the metropolis as its core focus.

This event, the second at Hibiya Okuroji, will present work from over 30 domestic and international photographers, celebrating diverse perspectives of Tokyo as well as work from abroad. The event is curated by Adam Benedicto and highlights various styles of photography, with the core values of accessibility, inclusivity, and community remaining the hallmark of these events.

This exhibition will run from January 27 to February 2 with DJs spinning all vinyl hip-hop, soul, jazz, funk, and house at the Saturday, January 31 reception party.

Entry is free throughout the duration of the exhibition.

Schedule

The exhibition is open from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. from January 27 to February 2 with some special events happening throughout. Here’s what to look out for:

  • Tuesday, January 27: Opening from 11 a.m.–8 p.m.
  • Friday, January 30: Photowalk from 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, January 31: Reception Party with DJs and drinks from 6–10 p.m.
  • Sunday, February 2: The second biggest day of the show, exhibition closes at 6 p.m

How to get there

Hibiya Okuroji is a roughly 6-minute walk from the Hibiya Exit of JR Yūrakuchō and Shimbashi Stations. It’s also a roughly 6-minute walk from Tokyo Metro Ginza, Hibiya, and Uchisaiwaichō stations.
