Explore the famous Ueno Summer Festival with the help of an expert guide.
What to expect
Ueno Summer Festival is a roughly month-long traditional summer event held in Ueno Park. During the three-hour tour on August 9, expect to see food and game stalls, an antique market, and plenty of traditional parades and performances.
The festival runs until 8 p.m., so once the tour finishes at 4 p.m., you can hang out and experience the event at night. English-speaking staff will guide your experience, and wearing a yukata is welcome.
