WeLearn 80’s Café is hosting its grand opening party, and you’re invited.
What is 80’s Café?
WeLearn 80’s Café is a place for casual, pressure-free language exchange and community building in Akihabara. Forget stuffy classrooms and exams, 80’s Café provides a space for natural interactions between Japanese and English learners and a way to practice real, everyday conversation.
Beginner-friendly, 80’s Café can also provide conversation question cards and support to help you settle in and break the ice. Come alone or with friends and chat with café staff and other guests.
Beyond language learning, WeLearn is a place to meet and interact with people from all over the world — international residents in Japan, students, working holidayers and Japanese locals. They also regularly host social and learning events like Japanese cultural experiences and teacher-supported Japanese conversation classes.

What to expect
The party will be a chance to celebrate the grand opening, check out the newly renovated café, and get to know the staff and community. Come alone or with a group and meet fellow language learners, or just hang out and enjoy the space. WeLearn is also preparing special gifts and perks for guests and walk-ins are welcome.
Schedule
The event will start at 2 p.m. and finish at 4 p.m., but the café will stay open until 7:00 p.m., so you’re welcome to stay, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere afterwards.
Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.Add to Calendar
